From the Ukrainian national anthem:
“Ukraine’s glory hasn’t perished, nor freedom, nor will.
Upon us, fellow kin, fate shall smile once more.
Our enemies will vanish, like dew in the morning sun,
And we too shall rule, brothers, in a free land of our own.”
And by God, Ukraine has made Russia pay. For every inch of land lost, they spilt a gallon of Russian blood. From the Heroes of Snake Island* to the Civilians blocking armored columns, the bravery on display by Ukrainians is truly inspiring. To all of those who must now live under the specter of Russian tyranny, stay safe, stay strong, and kick Ivan’s ass!
That being said, while I support the average Joe who is just trying to survive this mess. we must remember that in war, Truth is the first causality. The evil interests that lined their own pockets during the pandemic are now up to their same tricks again. In the name safety and security, freedom loving people are selling themselves into slavery. To defeat Putin, we must not become him.
In times of crisis however we must not forget to take the time to recognize humor where it can be found, else we cry. Below is a video from the Angry Cops channel on YouTube.
*I am well aware that the original story that the Soldiers stationed on Snake Island were killed by the Russian navy has been disproven. While everyone is relived that needless deaths did not occur I am disheartened by how people seem to be taking the news. Just because the soldiers did not die, this does not detract from the bravery they displayed when they told the Russians to “F off” over the radio. The Russians had been threatening to open fire and the Ukrainians knew that by making that statement they could be signing their own death warrants
